Terry Barna

From the time he taped his father’s dress socks to the sides of his head and played Snoopy in his Grade 1 production of “A Charlie Brown Christmas”, entertaining has been part of Terry’s life.

While the original plan was to be a veterinarian, Terry found himself on stage in University (including his first show with KWMP in 1982) and wound up at The Banff Centre of the Arts for 2 summers, studying Dramatic Arts, and Musical Theatre (thanks to a scholarship arranged by Alan Lund, long-time director of KWMP shows), then with the improv comedy troupe “The Incredible Odds”, and a year with The Second City in Toronto. Terry put his dream on the back burner for 15 years as he built a career in Corporate Canada, but then found himself back on stage (with KWMP) when he returned to Waterloo in 1999. In 2001, Terry left Corporate Canada to return to a career in acting. Since then, he has performed in over 50 professional plays throughout Ontario, co-hosted RogersTV’s “daytime” for 2 seasons, and had recurring roles in CTV’s “Stock & Awe” and CityTV’s “Meet the Family”.
