Are you passionate about costume design, sewing and community theatre? Kitchener-Waterloo Musical Productions (KWMP) is inviting volunteer sewers, of all skill levels, to join our costume team for upcoming theatrical productions. This is your chance to contribute to the vibrant arts scene in our community and be part of something truly special.

KWMP typically presents two musical productions each year and maintains an active sewing and costume presence throughout the year in our sewing workshop and costume store rooms. Whether you’re a seasoned sewer or just starting out, there’s a place for you on our team. Here’s what we’re looking for:

• Lead Costume Designers to steer our creative vision.
• A team of sewers capable of executing each show’s costume concept.
• Skills in creating costumes from patterns and altering existing or sourcing garments.
• Team players who can work to deadlines and enjoy the thrill of a challenge.
• Individuals who love sewing, are creative, fashion-forward, and innovative.
• People who value community, willing to dedicate their time and talents.

Volunteering with KWMP is not just about the costumes. It’s about being part of a team, contributing to your community, and meeting new friends with similar interests. You can also volunteer whatever time you have as we can offer flexible hours and work from home options too. Whichever way you choose to be involved, you’ll have the opportunity to develop new skills, unleash your creativity, and see your work come to life on stage.
