The KWMP Arts Centre
The KWMP Arts Centre is a multi-faceted, vibrant, community facility. It includes small, medium and large creative spaces, ideal for meetings, rehearsals, and performances.
KWMP has been working to maximize the KWMP Arts Centre to make it more accessible for rehearsals, smaller theatre productions (80-90 seating capacity, with 10’ stage), workshops, recitals, dance, film or photoshoots, jam sessions and concerts.
The three unique creative spaces include:
- Main Rehearsal and Performance space that can accommodate 50+ people for rehearsals and can also be transformed into a performance space for up to 100 people.
- The Brooke Myers Studio Space that is perfect for dance rehearsals or breakout sessions
- The Studio which is ideal for small groups, or one-on-one lessons
- There is also a kitchen that can be added on to any rental for a small fee.
The KWMP Arts Centre is fully accessible with washrooms and ramps.

Main Rehearsal and Performance Space
The Main Rehearsal and Performance space is ideal for larger-scale theatre rehearsals and other entertainment productions. Its footprint matches well with stages at such local venues as St. Jacob’s Country Playhouse, Conrad Centre for the Performing Arts, Humanities Theatre, the Centre in the Square and other similar venues.
Size: 28 x 48 feet or 9 x 15 meters

- 80–90 seating capacity depending on configuration

- Not-for-Profit: $30 per hour or $200 per day
- Commercial: $40 per hour or $275 per day
Brooke Myers Studio Space
The Upper Hall at K-W Musical Productions is located on the 2nd floor of the bulding, and has been renovated to include mirrors and a sprung floor.. The hall is perfect for theatre rehearsals, dance lessons and choreography, auditions, and vocal group practices. Its footprint is ideal for productions taking place at the Registry Theatre stage, Conrad Centre for the Performing Arts, KW Little Theatre, Theatre of the Arts or smaller-sized venues. NOTE: This hall is NOT wheelchair accessible.
About Brooke Myers
Brooke Myers was a KWMP alumna who passed away in 2021. She was a dancer and owner of the local Kitchener dance studio – Dance Adventure. There was a huge outpouring of love and support when she passed away. Brooke’s family asked that donations in her name be made to KWMP (among other local arts organizations that were dear to Brooke’s heart).
With the very generous donations from Brooke’s family and friends, we were able to renovate the upper hall and have renamed it and decorated it in her honour.

Rent the Brooke Myers Rehearsal Room
The Studio
The Studio is located in the basement . This is an ideal space for vocal lessons, music training, play rehearsals, or other individual or small group sessions. NOTE: This hall is NOT wheelchair accessible.
Features:
- Small space away from the larger rehearsal rooms
- Cubbies outside the room for shoes, jackets, etc.
Rental Rates:
- Not-for-Profit: $10 per hour or $75 per day
- Commercial: $15 per hour or $115 per day
The Kitchen
The use of the upstairs kitchen can be rented on request. Please note that the kitchen is absolutely not to be used for food preparation but is ideal for heating up food that is already prepared, or has been provided by a caterer.
Rental Rates:
- Not-for-Profit: $30 per day
- Commercial: $35 per day
Whole Building Rentals
Your group can have exclusive access to the whole building, including the 3 rehearsal halls, lobby, and Kitchen.
Rental Rates:
- Not-for-Profit: $55 per hour or $350 per day
- Commercial: $65 per hour or $415 per day
Want to rent our Costumes, Props, Sets & Flats?
While the costume, props and workshop areas are not typically available for rent, we do rent out our production costumes, props, sets and flats. These are costed out on a case-by-case basis. Email rentals@kwmp for more information!
Rental Policy for all rentals
- A minimum 3-hour rental charge will be applied to all rentals.
- Discounts are available for groups renting Monday–Friday between 8 am and 5 pm or a day rental of 8 hours or more (please contact us for more info)
- A $100 damage deposit payable by cash or cheque is required to reserve the space.
- Renters are to provide proof of a minimum of $2 million in liability insurance with a copy of a rider that lists K-W Musical Productions as an additional insured.
- HST will be charged on all rentals
- Any event or rental where alcohol is being served requires a liquor license and must be approved ahead of time.
- In the event of a cancellation, there will be no charge to renters who provide a minimum of one week’s notice. Bookings cancelled with less than one week’s notice will be subject to a charge of 50% of their quoted rental fee. For cancellations within 24 hours of the rental, renters are subject to a charge of 100% of their quoted rental fee.
