Broadway Children’s Director and Associate Director Corey Agnew is teaming up with KWMP to produce two livestream performances of the play Charlotte’s Web.

SYNOPSIS

Determined to save Wilbur the Pig, Charlotte (a very wise spider) begins her campaign with the “miracle” of her web in which she writes, “Some pig.” It’s the beginning of a victorious campaign which ultimately ends with the now-safe Wilbur doing what is most important to Charlotte. This is a beautiful, knowing play about friendship that will give your actors a great opportunity and your audience an evening of enchantment. 

 

CHARACTERS

Charlotte: an extraordinary spider, who proves to be “a true friend and a good writer.

Wilbur: An irresistible young pig who desperately wants to avoid the butcher

Fern: a girl who understands what animals say to each other

Templeton: A gluttonous rat who can occasionally be talked into a good deed

Mr Zuckerman: The farmer next door where Wilbur used to live

The Arables: Fern’s parents and brother Avery

…and many more animals to round out the farm house!

PERFORMANCES

Monday, November 30, 2020 or Tuesday, December 1, 2020 (depending on cast)

 

REHEARSALS

There will be a Monday night and a Tuesday night cast.

Time:  5:30-7:30pm on the scheduled cast day

Dates: September 14/15 – November 23/24, 2020

Exceptions: no rehearsal on Thanksgiving Monday

Cast members may be called anytime between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on rehearsals days, however, no student will be called for more than one hour per rehearsal.

Format: Rehearsals will be via Zoom and will usually have 6 or less students at a time.

 

AUDITION INFORMATION

Each of the two productions will have only 12 cast members.   

Students of all backgrounds and experience levels are welcome to apply.  This is an educational program and great emphasis will be placed on community building, as well as learning and growing together as a cast.

Children ages 9 -13 are welcome to audition.

Upon registration, applicants will be sent a simple audition package which will explain what needs to be submitted  in your video audition and how to submit it.
