Jesus Christ Superstar is a timeless rock opera with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice. Set against the backdrop of an extraordinary and universally-known series of events but seen, unusually, through the eyes of Judas Iscariot.

Loosely based on the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, Superstar follows the last week of Jesus Christ’s life. The story, told entirely through song, explores the personal relationships and struggles between Jesus, Judas, Mary Magdalene, his disciples, his followers and the Roman Empire.

Jesus Christ Superstar –The Concert Event, is a celebration of the music behind this iconic musical, with no sets, limited costumes, a large cast with equitable-gender casting.

Since 1948 K-W Musical Productions has given residents of Waterloo Region a chance to experience high-quality community theatre, both on and off stage.

Seating
All seats are general admission, the door open 1/2 half an hour before showtime.
The seats are church pews with cushions and are quite comfortable.
The church is wheelchair accessible.

2 hour and 10 minutes including one intermission

Audience
Jesus Christ Superstar is recommended for ages 10 and older, although you know what is appropriate for your family
